first fridays @ nhm.

last night-- went to first fridays at natural history museum. love love love. it was so much fun. felt like a kid again. i should of worn flats instead of high ass boots so i could run around like a rugrat again. next time.

first fridays at nhm basically brings out some (1-2) indie bands (bands I dont know about but some of my trendier friends did) and theres dj's in certain halls and beer/wine tables scattered throughout. the musuem is open like usual but you're getting a dance hall feel within the museum. the tickets were sold out when we got there late at 9. but i was stubborn. they relented. as if it was a vegas club and they were doing me a favor. the oh so curious case of benjamin button.

damn that baby was ugly. i probably would get nightmares if i thought about it for long enough. i would describe it best as a mix between the notebook and forrest gump and didnt know it was a f scott fitzgerald short story but i can definitely see how and why. strong symbolism and a good story. characters are full. i walked away satisfied. definitely worth a watch. wasnt THAT big of a tearjerker but i can tell you that if you've ever lived with a significant other...the duplex sequence is on the dot. sigh.
